Travel days

1. Day: arrival - St. Moritz

Individual arrival to St. Moritz with its beautiful location in the midst of majestic peaks and shimmering lakes.

2. Day: St. Moritz - Tirano (Train ride)

In the morning, you will have some time to take a stroll through St. Moritz. You then travel by train (incl., excl. bike) on the railway line of the Bernina Express to Tirano. Enjoy this unique experience, which ends with the panoramic transit of UNESCO-World Cultural Heritage. You then travel upwards, close to the glaciers and then descend downwards in the direction of Italy.

3. Day: Tirano - Morbegno (approx. 65 km)

You will receive your rental bikes in Tirano (if booked). You then cycle along the Adda river, through the Veltlin and past the small town Teglio. You will arrive at Sondrio, the smallest capital of the Italian province. In Morbegno, you will find many historical buildings, which are testimonies of a rich and fascinating past.

4. Day: Morbegno - Round trip Morbegno - Morbegno (approx. 45 km)

Morbegno has many interesting attractions to offer. You can take the day off today if you wish or you can go on a round tour to Novate Mezzola and along the shore of the Lago di Mezzola to Colico.

5. Day: Morbegno - Lecco (boat ride + approx. 25 km)

From Colico, you cross Lake Comer by ship (incl.). In Bellagio, the pearl of Lake Comer, it is possible to disembark and to have a rest before travelling further by ship to Lecco. The bicycles (rental bikes/one’s own bikes) will be transported to the booked hotel in Lecco.

6. Day: Lecco - Trezzo sull'Adda (approx. 35 km)

Today, you will cycle along the Adda river again and through an enchanting landscape with the historic centres of the Edison, monasteries, typical restaurants and scenarios from Leonardo da Vincis „Mona Lisa“.

7. Day: Trezzo sull'Adda - Milan (approx. 40 km)

During your last stage, you will cycle on the known cycle path Martesana. Several grand villas, mills, small churches and old factories can be found along the way. You will gradually arrive at the fashion metropolis Milan. It is best to explore the numerous sights worth seeing during a city round tour.

8. Day: Milan - departure

Individual departure or extension.


This diverse cycling tour leads on cycle paths to Lake Comer and along the Adda to Milan. The route is mainly flat, there are only small ascents to overcome.

    By train: The journey with the Rhaetian Railway (RhB) from Chur to the Engadine, with its spiral tunnels and the dizzying viaducts, is one of the most picturesque and most interesting in terms of railway technology in Europe. But you can also travel from Landquart via Klosters/Vereina tunnel to the Engadine. This train journey from Zurich to St. Moritz takes approx. 3 hours.

    By car: St. Moritz can also be reached by car on well-developed Alpine roads from northern Switzerland, Ticino, Italy or Austria. From Zurich and Milan, the car ride takes approx. 3 hours, starting from Munich approx. 4 hours. If you want to avoid a car ride through a mountain pass, you have the option of loading the car on rails in Klosters/Selfranga.

    By plane: St. Moritz has its own airport: from the airport in Engadin, you have connections to the international airports of Zurich, Geneva, Basel, Milano and Munich.

    Parking at the arrival hotel: The hotel has an outdoor car park which you can use for free during your hotel stay. For the remaining duration of the trip, you can park in a covered parking garage or also in the outdoor for a fee. The prices start at approx. CHF 80,-.
